Another Round of Commissions to Keep the Artist Afloat!

February 03, 2025

Good afternoon, fellow cryptids and critters of the woods! Remember my previous update? Yeah, this is sort of a follow-up to that one!

First, let me get the more exciting announcement out of the way: I'll be opening for another round of commission slots on February 5th @ 4 PM PDT!

There will be 10 spots available, and these will be limited to my standard commission types: Icons/Headshots, Chibis, Half-body, and Full-body drawings. Please send an email to tuxedodragondoodles@gmail.com with your commission request, details, and reference materials when that time rolls around!

If you take a peek at the price page, you may also notice that prices have been updated! I've tried not to make the change too drastic while also being fair to myself, and I hope you'll feel that way as well! I've also added a new clause to the TOS called the "No-Show Policy", so take a look at that too while you're over there!

Alright, then, now we'll get to the finer details on why I'm opening these now ^^"

I've put in several job applications over the course of last month, and somehow they all currently seem to have start dates ranging between mid-March to early April. Most of these are internships or entry-level positions in ecology and field research, and would be excellent opportunities to finally get my foot in the door in the ecology sphere! Of course, this leaves me with about a month or two between now and a potential job start, and I've got bills to pay and cats to feed in the meantime.

I'm still quite thoroughly burned out, unfortunately, and the pace at which I work on art has slowed significantly. I will take commissions out of necessity to survive, but as an added measure, I'm also putting up another Ko-Fi fundraising goal. I know times are hard for everyone these days, but if anyone feels so inclined to give anything, it will be immensely appreciated! Hopefully it's the last time I have to do this for a while.

I'm quite exhausted at the time of writing this, mentally and emotionally, but I'm holding onto hope as much as I can that things are gonna keep improving from here, no matter how bleak it looks. I'll hold your paw if the world feels dark right now to you, too, and we can wait for the sun to come back together. It'll be warm and beautiful again, just you wait!

Until next time!
